Diary Entry #6 - Apologies for the delay. Stuff happened

Ok so I've been abit lax in posting over the last few weeks.

Ok in regards to the game that was played a few weeks ago.
The line up ended up being 2v2 Cryx & Mercs Vs Protectorate and Khador.

The end result was A win! Yay. Ashlynn's Feat sacres thje crap out of me (And i'm the one using her.)

Now the reason i've been too busy to post is that a i DO have a life in the real world. (At least I call it a life). But between spending time with the GF, and more games i've not had enough time to get online. Oh and my Birthday was inthere somewhere.

Now i've played a few games with the Mercs now
And the End result is:
W-L-T
2-2-0

So i'm a bit alover the place.

I managed to pull off Espionage with Anistasia in my first game along with Ashlynn's feat. Hasrh as hell.

I've also spent time convincing a friend to take up the hobby. So woot, a new player is now collecting Pirates...

For the Record I am going to state once and for all that I dislike the Commadore Cannon.

In regards to my birthday i was given some models. (Ashlynn, Anistasia, Taryn and Madeline) So cheers to the guys who bught them for me.

Diary Entry #5 - Mercs FTW

Ok so i got the Merc Book early. Boo Yah!

And have already placed an order at my local.

With the Tier list I can use all of my Gunmages (Not the Black 13th sadly)

So with this in mind i've changed the list that i'm going to Field in about 11 hours. (Using proxies)

Ashlynn (+6)
5 - Vanguard

6 - Gunmage + free UA (Tier 4)
8 - Mule
8 - Gunmages + UA

2 Gunmage Captain Adept
2 Gunmage Captain Adept

Now i know that i'm a point lite but the free UA makes up for it.

And i just found out that the game will be 35pts 2 Vs 2. Dont know who i'm paired with yet.

I'll post the results of the game when i get home.

Diary Entry #4 - Plans for the future of the Army

I cant remember if i said so earlier or not but i planned on expanding my armies, and i was going to discuss the expansions here.

Leigion are on HOLD at least until the Faction book comes out and i can replan my army out.

Cygnar expansion:
I'm alittle annoyed by the fact that in my gaming group there is another Cygnar player who plays a list simalar to mine. So i decided to investigate the possibility of hiring mercs.

Now the mercs that work for Crgnar are also apparently part of a contract (For building Merc armies i think) called the Highborn Covenent. After doing some digging on the forums (ok like 2 mins worth) i came across a thread talking about lists based on the defence of Llael.

So after reading the thread i have decided to build a Merc Army in tandem with my Cygnar. Seeing as all of the models in the merc army can work for Cygnar... perfect two armies at the same time.

So the next few purchases that i'm planning are:
The Merc book (Due to come out in the next 2 weeks)
Ashlynn d'Eelyse - Warcaster
Taryn di la Rovissi - Solo
Anastasia di Bray - Solo
Vanguard - Warjack (At least 2)
Mule - Warjack
Precusror Knights - Unit (Will work in both Armies yay!)

The game has been decided on 35pts.

Diary Entry #3 - Got a game coming up.

As the title says, i have a game planned for this coming Saturday. Its a multiplayer game with 3-4 players. Now i've been told that we're gonna be playing either 35 or 50 pts. So i figure that i'll plan out my list now. Now seing as my collection is rather small rith now i'll be using proxies for what i dont have.

35pts - Caine (+6pts)
9 - Centurion
8 - 10 Swordknights (Inc Unit Attachment)
6 - Jackmarshalled Lancer
6 - Jackmarshalled Lancer
4 - Black 13th
6 - Gunmage Unit
2 - Gunmage Solo

Now the plan with this is to have the Sword knights hold the line whilst the Gunmages and Black 13th provide some ranged support. The Centurion is going to be used in conjunction with the Swordknights to take down anything big enough to be a problem.

50pts - Caine (+6pts)
7 - Ironclad
8 - 10 Swordknights (Inc Unit Attachment)
9 - Jackmarshalled Centurion (Swordknights)
9 - Jackmarshalled Centurion (Swordknights)
8 - Gunmage Unit (Inc unit Attachment)

The plan for this list is pretty much the same as the other list, The Sword knights and attached 'Jacks will hold the line and take out anything big that heads my way. Whist the rest of the army lays down some covering fire. I'm thinking that "Black Penny" will come in handy here.

Well thats what i'm planning on taking, I'll post the results of my inevidable defeat when i get a chance.

Diary Entry #2 - My Army

Ok i figure that if i'm going to blog about my Warmachine hobby the first thing i should write about is the army that i'm playing. To lets continue to that effect.

You may be able to see the very subtle (lol) theme here. I kinda like Gunmages, now the observent will notice that there are 2 of the gunmage unit attachment even though they are FA 1 this is becasue i often play with a Lt Caine Teir List which lets me field 2!

Diary entry #1 - Welcome

Hi all.

I thought i might keep a record of my progress as a wargamer online. I plan on discussing the games of warmachine that i play, my tactics, my army composition, my plans for expanding my army.

Depending on how things go I may eventualy post battle reports, pictures of my minitures and other random things to do with my hobby/obsession.
